Sonja Elen Kisa (1978) lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. French is one of the official languages of Canada.
Sonja is Acadian (French-Canadian). Her roots are in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. She was raised in French and English in a fully bilingual setting. As an avid language learner, she also speaks fluent Esperanto, German and Toki Pona. Over the years she has studied dozens of other languages, including Finnish, Dutch, Cantonese, Mandarin, American Sign Language, Spanish, Croatian/Bosnian, Japanese, Arabic and Georgian.
